Very good bootsplash, congratulations :)

Installation on SuSE 10.1:

* Unpack
* Move unpacked folder to /etc/bootsplash/themes
* run YaST
* goto "Software" -> "etc/sysconfig - editor"
* goto "System" -> "Bootsplash" -> "Theme"
* enter name of folder you moved to /etc/ usw.
* click "finish".
* goto Shell, type mkinitrd -s [xres]x[yres] , e.g. mkinitrd -s 1024x768 (maybe you have to be root to do this; to authorize, type sux and then enter your password)
* if you get an error, go to the folder with datas, enter dir config, and open the file bootsplash xx containig your resolution with editor. In this file, delete the last line (i think it was logo_console = vt or sth like that, the same expression like in the error).
* run mkinitrd -s xxx again
* restart system :)

if you have problems with it, contact my in icq 263628834 :)

hope i could help you; sorry for my bad english :)

Greetings, scum

You might want to note that when that the name of the folder in /etc/bootsplash/themes MUST BE ThinkLinux. This will be by default, exept when you download the full version.

Second, when an error occurs in the mkinitrd command, for example one has done mkinitrd 1260x1024 one needs to remove the last line, ,from the bootsplash-1280x1024.cfg file typically in /etc/bootsplash/themes/ThinkLinux/config.

If this is not the name, then the mkinitrd will typically give an error on a file not being found.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
 Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
 I do not like some of the changes.
 KDE is taking the wrong way.
 I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
 I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
