The daemon kind of works on KDE, however, the key features of what make Dropbox so useful is the desktop environment integration. E.g. the \"Copy public link...\" in the public folder, or the ability to copy the URL for a photo gallery without having to visit the web interface.

So no, what you say isn\'t actually true, you *can\'t* use Dropbox in KDE without a KDE client - since there\'s no actual support for most of the stuff that makes Dropbox \"Dropbox\". Once the Dropboxers support Dolphin / Konqueror integration, then it\'ll work in KDE, until then, no. It doesn\'t. :)

>>> a kde client for dropbox would be awesome. it could be integrated into dolphin and/or konqueror or someone could code a plasmoid. please vote if you miss this as well. maybe some talented coder will step up and create a cool dropbox app for KDE! who knows...

they "gave a hand" because a lot of people over at dropbox are kde users, just like you and me ;)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
