Plastik theme for k700i cellphone

Description:

This display theme for the SonyEricsson k700i mobile attempts to be a clone of the famous kde theme Plastik. The theme covers all possible screens of the phone, ranging from the status screen you see in the preview images on this page to tab dialogs and even zebra tables!
(The seehearspeak wallpaper was provided by courtesy of Klowner http://dugnet.com/klown/)

You need a data cable or bluetooth dongle to transfer the theme from your pc to the phone after downloading it from this page. Alternatively I have set up a small wap page for you to download it directly via wap: http://wap.matthiaswetzka.de/index.wml. When you click on the linuxplastik.thm file in your wap browser ther might be an error message complaining about some unknown content type. Ignore it and download anyway. When the download is finished you will be asked if you want to use this theme. Press yes and it will be installed. On my phone the theme file was saved to the "other" folder in the file manager (if you don't see the error message I mentioned above, I suppose it will be saved in the themes folder).

WAP-URL: http://wap.matthiaswetzka.de/index.wml

Changelog:

Slightly updated the appearance of the popup screens.

 Very nice!!

I'd love to have this on my K700i, but how do I put it up there without a Sony data cable? Is there a way to download it directly onto the cell phone? Oh, is this theme complete by the way, or is it just this one display? Nice work!!

Thank you! The only other way I can think of would be downloading via wap. But you would have to upload it first to some wap gateway (afaik there are such services available for free, but I have no experience with that).

Yes, the theme is complete, even with Plastik tabs and zebra lists :-) The screenshot on this page shows just the standby screen (with buttons).

I managed to get a wap page on my server up and running! Please try downloading the theme at: http://wap.matthiaswetzka.de/index.wml

The K700i has Bluetooth, doesn't it? That's how I get all the files to/from my much older T610... it has a full FTP server built-in, and I would assume the newer phones would be the same.

Hi

You don't know by chance if this theme works on my T630?

No, unfortunately it won't. The T630 has a much smaller display resolution. But feel free to modify the theme and adapt it to your phone by resizing the graphics to the appropriate size.

SonyEricsson Themes consist of some graphics and an xml file, distributed as a standard unix tar file (but renamed to .thm).

Is there a possibility to convert this theme into a theme fitting for a K600i?

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
