 You're crazy.

XP looks better than KDE?? Perhaps you are just "very used" to Win. But the icons look ugly, unpolished, "watered", and very, very simple. The standard KDE with the Crustal SVG style looks way better than the standard XP: Windows users who see my "simple" KDE are always very impressed by the "cool look" of it. So comparing KDE 3+ with Win 2000 or 98 is just a very silly exageration. No way on Earth could that be true. Perhaps you mean Vista, instead of XP? Vista does look better, but still behind OSX. Unless you are "in love" with Microsoft, and believe, many Linux users are. They just don't know it...

>> XP looks better than KDE??

- I've never been talking about XP at all.
- No, it doesn't, nor does Vista.

I am using KDE, and you can be sure I wouldn't use if I'd consider any Windows better.

My concern was just to stop people from creating 'Vista-like' windecos, styles, wallpapers, icons or what ever. And that's not even for the potential legal trouble this might bring, but I just don't like the Win-style, and I like KDE as an individual Desktop.

You are right, it's not that we can do better than MS, because we already are doing better than they are. But we can do even better than we are today.

Cheers, Chip

 The best

I think that copying is not wrong at all. I mean: a good idea is a good idea, it doesn't matter if it comes from Windows, MacOSX or something else.

We aren't here for playing a role game, but for providing the best experience for the user. It doesn't matter if it's copied or not.

Of course, this doesn't means that the first idea should be "hey, i like that, let's copy", but should be: "hey, i like that idea, let's make if even better" or "that idea inspire me for something wonderful".

That is: copying is not bad, but the first idea should be the innovation.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
