Depends on  KDE 4.x
Downloads:  74
Submitted:  Mar 18 2009

Description:

The Kickoff menu can be scaled horizontally, but when this happens, it's "don't know" use the extra area.

Lancelot (and others) inspired in me to imagine a better way to use this extra area. The intention is also to reduce the use of the scroll bar when there are many items in favorites.

Sorry for my poor english :-)

Is it right to say that the first screenshot is the way it looks now and the second is your idea?

I'm sorry for the confusion...

All images are mockups.

The first image show a application menu mockup and the second show a bookmark menu mackup.

 Bad use of space

Sorry, this is isn't using space very well at all. Your mockup is wasting space just by stretching itself.

If your going to make it that size, make sure you fill it with something useful(like features) rather than stretching everything.

nice idea but the result could be a gigantic menu, and kickoff is yet too big for me...

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
