Description:

SplashScreen 4 OpenOffice I made using the Kool icons that were made by Futurosoft.

thnx to them 4 makin best Ooo icons, I've ever seen yet.

INSTALLATION:
copy the "openintro_ubuntu.bmp" file to /usr/lib/openoffice/program

any questions?

God bless you!

Changelog:

001 - jun 2007: first release, designated for the OpenOffice suite, version 2.2

License:
I dunno exactly under what licence the icons were made. I have searched the author forum and posted an info about my effort to make a useful splash. so he should be informed. until his approval, consider the awards 4 this work as his (Sephiroth6779, Futurosoft.) and blame as mine.

 standard openoffice

Hello,
very nice splash, I'm using the white one now.

Only a message for not ubuntu users:
the splash image of Open Office, in a more or less standard system, should be in /opt/openoffice.org2.2/program
and likely the file name is intro.bmp
(well, in a Slackware:-)

thx

bye

don't be agnostic, be something.

I do however have 1 idea if you dont mind.
Make it clear so that it just rests on top of your Desktop, no black or white window around it. that would be sweet!

you mean a transparent background?

I dunno, but it would be harder, since the picture is in BMP format. :D

I've been trying to find the Futurosoft icons that you have used, but they are not in any of the icon themes available (at least not that I've been able to find).

Is there any way you can post the icon, or where exactly you found them?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
