Description:

Basic clock. I wasn't happy with the jaggies in other clocks, so I used ImageMagick's convert program to resize, rotate and add shadows to pretty it up...

Disable second hand / shadows if your CPU usage is high.

If you can't see the clock and karamba says it is running, try to find the invisible square in the top left and right click "reload".

If the clock still is invisible, you might try to reemerge qt and imagemagick with jpeg, png, tiff, gif flags, thanx dodo1122.

Changelog:

Added menu enable/disable shadows
Added menu enable/disable second hand
Tweaked to reduce CPU usage
Added icon/made into .skz package
Created new NiX clock and hands
Added menu change clock and hands
Added menu enable/disable transparency
Added text input functions
Added menu set Alpha
Added menu set Size
Added KDialog dialogs
Save alpha & size
Tweaked save config options

 Your Clock Is Superb

by garystewart on: Jun 14 2008

Switched from Ubuntu Hardy to Kubuntu Hardy and finding a decent analog clock seemed impossible. Cairo-clock is excellent if you run compiz, which I don't. My machine runs better without it and without the proprietary Nvidia driver.

Glad I took the time to search this site. Your clock is simply the best of the best.

Thanks for your excellent (and it seems underappreciated) work!

Best wishes,
garystewart

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
