For the conversion I used the program perl sd2xc-2.5.pl adds KDE4 Compatibility, and adjusts the individual pointer animations with GIMP and XMC plugin.

i have this icon theme installed on my laptop and every time i want to highlight something it tends to skip the letters or in this case words. i'd appreciate it if it was fixed

I am having same issue as well. The particular pointer seems to be the beam (the one that lets you place your cursor in the text. However, they all seem to be causing issue here and there. I think the actual boxes surrounding the pointers are to big.
