Description:

This is just a brainstorm; this is my first post here so sorry if I screw it up.

I would really like it if amarok could fade in and out when you play or pause the music. I wrote a shell script to do this; I don\\\'t know enough about amarok code to make the change, but I wrote a shell script which gets the point across.

when people press the pause button on Amarok it is usually because someone is coming in the room to talk to them or they are watching a trailer or something, I don't know about you but I would want it to stop immediately without and fade-outs

I think it is not a bad idea. Winamp does this.
We could have a very short fade, less one a second, it would be smoother for my ears ^^

Isn't there already an option for this? there IS a fade-in/out config page. And if pause/play fadein/out isn't possible, maybe an amarok script could do it.

Though I hate it ;-)

only the fade-out on closing amarok is kind'a cool.

I like the idea of fade in fade out with a crossover capability. I've wanted something like this for a long time.
To be able to control crossover rates would be great too.

I'm not sure, but I think this has already been implemented: crossfade. Is that what you're thinking of?

Also, to the people above: I would expect it to be configurable-- probably off on default. But if you listen, there is a rather annoying 'pop' when you press play/pause.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
