Description:

Alien

This Theme Package is designed to be a complete system makeover from startup to shutdown. This includes a Grub Splash image and a Boot Splash theme for Splashy. Also included is a complete sound theme, using system sounds from internet and startup and shutdown sounds from the silvertheme sound set from hermes.

Also Included is the Alien TTF Font.

I have included the Splashy deb package for Kubuntu users as well as the theme package. As always there are complete instructions for installation and setup.

All background images are 1280 X 800 except for the Splashy backgrounds which are 1024 X 768

This is a complete system theme package put together from various packages at www.kde-look.org, and from the Internet. I as the packager only cleaned up and fixed small issues. I did create the Grub Splash, KDM, Ksplash and Splashy packages using existing works but none of the artwork is mine. The following elements were used to create this package:

The Background Wallpaper is by a guy who only identified himself as Bruce.

Kickoff buttons are from the ALSO7A KBFX Button set by Andre Luiz. Converted by me for use with Kickoff.

Ksplash Screen is by me

KDM theme is by me

Grubsplash screen was converted from the original background by me. I used Picasa to make a black and white copy of the original. The in GIMP I converted that to a true grey scale and dropped the color used to 14. Resized and packaged that to get a really decent looking Grub Splash. I'm actually amazed it came out so good.

The Icons used in the KDM Theme are from overlord59's Alien Aqua set which can be found,

http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id.118-alienaqua-2-overlord59-icons-a-png.htm

Cursors are the Energia set converted from the Windows set by jmariani. Original author jalentorn.

Color Scheme is Tango Sky Blue and Aluminum by mdb

System Sounds are some mined from the Internet and a couple from the silvertheme set by hermes

The Icon Set is a combination of the Dark-Glass set from mentelrey, the Alien OSX set from mecenas and the Aqua Alien set by overlord59

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
