mponent: XXX" instead. XXX - is value of field 'X-KDE-PluginInfo-Name' from .desktop file. What should I put there to make this work? At first,I thought Plasma couldn't find binary file, but I ran 'strace' and ensured that file was found and successfully accessed.

 flattr option for projects?

Hi,

It would be nice to be able to provide a flattr link to the thing which fits the project – and have it displayed visibly as icon with the project.

Also it would be nice to have the donate link displayed a bit more prominently.

Best wishes and many thanks for your work!
Arne

 Gammu and Java

Hi,
I want to right an autoreply application using Java and I'm planning to use Gammu(written in C) as an sms gateway. I already figured out how to get the messages from the database but I'm having trouble using its functions. I really wanna use its functions.

If it were in C, I can just include gammu.h but I'm writing the application in java, So I'm assuming it's not going to be as easy as that. T_T

Can somebody help me?

 How to make Themes?

by ElectricRider on: Dec 10 2010

This is an odd type of forum.. oh well.

I want to make a theme for Mint 9.
I do not know how.
Perhaps it would be better if explained what want to do.

I want to make an AC/DC Theme and call it Black. All sytstem windows would have dark or black windows. There would be modified heavy metal type icons for each application. The desktop background would have an AC/DC. logo on it. The start up sound would be a part of AC/DC's Back in Black song. as well as the shutdown sound.. other system sounds will be heavy metal sounds.

On Boot, you will see AC/DC Black instead of the Mint logo.. And I want to bundle the best apps geared toward heavy metal users.

How can I do all this then package it up for re-distribution and installation on other systems?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
