Dear Members,

Which CMS (Content Management System) is being used to design this website?
www.kde-apps.org

Is this is under UGL or what?

Please educate.

Hi, I am wondering if there is any chance of getting some onfo from the devs of the ksplash engines
ksplash
ksplash simple
ksplash standard

to see about fixing the items which do not work when one changes the definiteions, i.e., the icon positions on the standard splash?

There are so many options which would launch ksplash to the moon... if only they actually worked?
I think a solution (at least for standard) is to use "vim" to delete the word "Default" from the .so file? but I'm not really sure so I will experiment with extreme caution...
But I think a lot of people would be extremely grateful if these engine's options were fully functional.

I can produce a list of what does and does not work within the standard options (so far) and will next be moving onto the ksplash engine
Just would like to see about using this place if I am able to get some people together, so the KDE devs can step in if they see something we are missing?

Thanks

Don't look at me... I've been right here all day.

 Bluetooth Messaging

Hi All,

I am new to linux and totally blown away by it all. I can understand the basics (just about) but i am no developer. I have been searching around all over the place for some bluetooth messaging software. The kind that I can send a message to all those who walk in range of my laptop.

I can connect with my own mobile using phone manager and send that a message but I want to send messages out to lots of people letting people know about gigs or fundraising events. I suppose its the same as those proximity marketing applications you can get for windows. Any ideas where i could look?

thanks to all who take the trouble to develop linux - respect!

roughly here
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=6332

for kde4, you'll find porting assistance here
http://doc.trolltech.com/4.1/porting4.html
(there's also a automated tool in Qt4)

kwin api hardly changed, just got some extensions, see the KDE api

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
