 kde-apps.org sync with OBS

by luckyb on: Mar 11 2011
Score 50%

It's been a couple of days now that my project, luckybackup:

does not completely sync with the relevant opensuse build service:

The weird thing is that rpm packages show fine but deb ones (eg debian, ubuntu) do NOT.

 Volunteers for development

There is rich internet client LeechCraft (www.leechcraft.org).
LeechCraft allows to browse the web, read RSS/Atom feeds, download files via BitTorrent, FTP, HTTP, automatically download, play or stream podcasts (and other media files) and much more. It was written on C++/Qt.
LeechCraft is "all-in-progress" application =), and there is lot of work to do.

So, if someone needs practice in C++ or just interested in development for Linux or may be would like to add some features - you can join the team.

You can download LeechCraft here:

Please share your opinion after installation.
Any your reply will be appreciated.

 binary plasmoids and animated icons

by skylendar on: Jun 12 2011

First, thx for reading and possibly answering this post

In my plasmoid (http://skylendar.kde.org/plaspool), I'm striving to animate my icon when a printing occurs.

You can setup your popup applet with setPopupIcon(), but your icon can't be animated.

It seems more logical to use a QGraphicsWidget for that, but the tutorials aren't explicit about this possibility, unless you need to reimplement paintInterface().

So, I must manage both a Widget and an animation based upon an svg file, and it remains unclear to me how an when to do that.

Thx again for reading this question

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
