I really like this theme, but the gray that it uses isn't really my thing. How do I change the gray to black?

 KDE Wallpapers and..

by jlue on: Nov 1 2007

I have the option "don't show wallpapers" switched on on kde-look.org, but content of type "KDE Wallpaper ..." show up regardless of that, which is a little distracting. This seems to apply to xcontentmode 92, 72 and 73. Will you please fix that?

And I'd love to be able to reference/link not only to a contents forumpage, but also to an individual thread within. Do you think this is possible?

Thanks in advance.

 Dolphin problem

Hello guyz,

I am having problem with Dolphin. Each time i close it it is showing me following message:
''Unable to save bookmarks in /home/sasa/.kde/share/apps/d3lphin/bookmarks.xml. Reported error was: Permission denied. This error message will only be shown once. The cause of the error needs to be fixed as quickly as possible, which is most likely a full hard drive.''

Just do not know what is wrong. I reinstalled it and it is doing the same again.

Thanks for any help,

Hey man thanks,

This works but the same message returns after 5-10 opens and closes :) It seems that this is connected if i am a root user or regular. So if i open Dolphin like root then it is ok but otherwise it is not :)

Anyway thanks for previous help. :)

I think it's vice verse - you shouldn't run Dolphin as root as you currently do. Run the command I posted above and then only use Dolphin as user - do you get the same problem?

If you want to run it as root I suggest 'kdesu dolphin'.

This only happens when you open Dolphin with root privileges (you should to have a good reason to do that :| ), saving the file with the user that used Dolphin (in this case root). As you can't modify root files without root privileges,,, someone posted how to force manually the owner of the file to another user.

I am new here and i have been searching for some kind of guide that explains How to use KDM Theme Manager or Emerald Themer . It would really be very helpful for noobies such as my self or for any other for that matter to have that piece of knowledge. If any one here who can provide such a thing, please point me and all the other noobies out there the right place. Thank you.

btw: i am trying to install a new theme for the first time. It's called "Revelation-Domino Theme/Style for KDE 3.2 +" if you know of a walk through let me know. thanks.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
